Weight, and the lead in it
Lead-acid batteries are priced on the weight of the lead they contain. A heavier battery is worth more, which is why a 200Ah inverter battery fetches more than a 35Ah car battery.
Condition does not matter much
A battery that no longer holds charge still contains the same lead. You do not need to test it or charge it before we collect.
